Each year, SWANA Ontario with the help of dedicated partners, offers $2,000 scholarships to students focused on improving and understanding contemporary waste management practices and systems.

Kalun Cliff Chan Graduate Scholarship
The Region of Halton, Teresa To and the Ontario Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) are offering a $2,000 scholarship to encourage students studying in disciplines related to solid waste management and environmental protection. This scholarship is in memory of Cliff Chan, the Director of Solid Waste Management for the Region of Halton and a Director of the Ontario Chapter of SWANA until his untimely death in November 2000.

SWANA Ontario Chapter Undergraduate Scholarship

Our Chapter recognises the value of supporting students with an interest in the field of solid waste or environmental management by offering a $2,000 scholarship to a student enrolled in an undergraduate program in Ontario.

Undergraduate Application:

**Scholarship applications will be received until October 15, 2018 for the 2018/2019 school year.  
 Send completed applications with all required documentation to the Chapter office.

The awards for the successful applicants will be presented at a SWANA Ontario Chapter’s Board of Director’s meeting (date to be announced).
