The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is non-profit educational organization serving individuals and  communities responsible for the management and operation of  municipal solid waste management systems. The SWANA  Ontario Chapter is dedicated to the advancement of  professionalism in the field  and offers its members training  programs, technical assistance,  and educational opportunities to  help meet their ever-growing  needs. Since 1978 the SWANA  Ontario Chapter has  continuously provided Ontario with waste  management  education, communication, and advocacy for state  of the art solid  waste facilities and activities..

Registration for SWANA certification training in Management of Landfill Operations ( MOLO ) 
April 9-12, 2018, Mississauga 
This three-day in-class training courses with optional certification exams, provide many opportunities for discussion and collaboration among participants, including instructor-led discussions and a comprehensive course exercise designed to reinforce the concepts presented.

Calling all waste professionals age 35 and under – Registration is now open to attend a tour of Canada Fibers, listen to guest Dr. Frida Jones speaking on MSW Management in Sweden – A Comparative look at Canada & Sweden’s solid waste practices. End the day by joining the SWANA Ontario Chapter at a Blue Jays Game!
